The Moon

The other day, I saw Matthew Bourne's version of Swan Lake, "starring" Adam Cooper...
One of the scenes, when he crosses the scene on a board that is moving, was so beautiful that I knew I HAD to draw something...
When I saw his face like this, white and gently glowing in the moonlight, I saw what I see in my mind since I was a child, when I think of the Moon...
So since I was depressed and I wanted to touch my brushes again, I did so.

Nearly two hours of work on this. Minus the time it took me to chat with friends on the internet...

J'ai vu l'autre jour la version du Lac des Cygnes de Matthew Bourne, dont le danseur étoile est Adam Cooper. Dans une des scènes, il traverse le plateau sur une planche, et c'était tellement beau que je me suis dit que je devais dessiner quelque chose. Quand j'ai vu son visage, blanc et brillant doucement au clair de lune, j'ai vu ce que depuis toujours j'ai dans la tête quand je pense à la Lune. Et comme j'étais un peu déprimé et que je voulais toucher à des pinceaux délaissés depuis longtemps, je me suis mis au travail.

Deux heures pour cette pièce ( un peu moins, surtout si on enlève les looongs moments à chatter sur internet).
